These photos are to share the beauty of our land south of Cheney, Washington. We are in process of creating a home on the land. Please feel free to ask questions or share your thoughts. These photos are rather large so if you are on a slow feed please be patient.
Here are the recent photos.
Here you can see the wallboard in the NE corner.
Here is a view from the NE corner.
This is bathroom. Green water resistant wallboard goes on the lower half of the walls.
We finished and painted the utility room so we could put the water system back up and have water for washing up during the process of taping the rest of the house. It's painted blue for water.
This is the sliding bathroom door. It's been finished and installed because it fits into the walls before the rest of the finish goes on.
We finished and painted the walls behind the water heater so it could be installed and working. Warm water for washing drywall tools keeps the crew happy.
This is the storage mezanine looking north toward the railing.
We emptied both of our rented sotrage units and piled all our furnature and posessions into the unfinished space in the NW corner of the building. It looked like a lot in the storages and took 2 trips with a fully packed U-Haul to move it here from Albuauerque, but it doesn't look all that much in the big building.
We finished hanging the wallboard on Sunday, and began tapeing on Monday March 6.
We've been tapeing the wallboard. It took Justin and Brad 3 days to apply the tape to all the joints. The bedding coat and top coat may take as long or may be a little faster.
Here is some taped walls in the kitchen.
Here is some tapeed walls in the bathroom.
Here is the high ceiling.
We had a late winter storm. It snowed all day Wednesday and froze at night making it very icy on Thursday.
