These photos are to share the beauty of our land south of Cheney, Washington. We are in process of creating a home on the land. Please feel free to ask questions or share your thoughts.
Spring comes slowly on west side of the Rocky mountains. We had the 100 year snow this winter, over 90 inches of snow. Only 1 year since they started keeping records in the 19th century has had more snow. It finally stopped snowing toward the end of April and has melted in most places. Spring has finally come. Must be "global warming."
The wall separating bays 3 and 4 is complete and painted.
The archways came out pretty good. Here is the archway to the master bedroom. Eventually you will have to go through Brad's study to get there.
Here is the same archway from the master bedroom looking east. We chose a strong red and gold for colors. Perhaps the cold winter encouraged a choice of warm color.
Here is a view from the master bedroom toward the hallway.
From the bedroom looking down the hallway toward the master bathroom. The hallway is plenty wide enough for 2 people to pass without one having to step out of the way of the other.
This is one of the his and hers closets. The lights are on but no shelves or rods are installed yet.
here is a view from the master bathroom looking north toward the bedroom. The gold color runs from the bedroom down the hallway and around the master bathroom.
Logan choose an orange and purple for the vanity area of the master bedroom.
Logan chose this lovely purple for a color accent in the vanity area.
The bath tub area gets tile instead of paint.
The laundry room is country white and dark blue.
The laundry room is country white and dark blue. The washer faucets are ready to go.
I bought a Renai instant hot water heater. It has plenty of capacity to be the heater for a hot tub provided that a secondary heat exchanger is installed. You could even use it for space heat or hydronic floor heat if we had loops in the concrete. It gets lots of plumbing which is ongoing. Cold water. Hot water. Heat exchanger loup circulating hot water. Gas. Drain. Overpressure relief. I'm just getting started hooking it up.
Every time I get to painting I end up with another pile of 5 gallon buckets. Here they are next to my airless sprayer. It makes fast work of laying on 5 gallons of paint. The work is all in the preparation and cleanup.
That's all for now. I'll post some more when we get the floor and fixtures installed.
